Being an elementary school teacher means crafting goes with the territory, especially around major holidays. I’m nothing if not dedicated to my students. Which means I’m knee deep in construction paper and glue sticks the week leading up to Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, that leaves very little time to flirt with my new, totally gorgeous neighbor, Jeremy. Okay, except when my dog, Chip, escapes into Jeremy’s yard. Repeatedly. I swear I’m not leaving the gate open on purpose.

But it’s difficult to be sure because our conversations have been so brief. When anonymous Valentine trinkets start appearing on my porch, is it too much to hope that my secret admirer is Gus?
